Collaboration

Working on a track together

Collaboration lets a Pro user invite other Pro users to edit one saved track. You take turns: only one person can have it open for editing at a time.

Inviting someone

Open the track from your tracks list. On the Manage Track page, the Collaborators section is where you invite people. Enter the email address of their TreCorsa account and click Invite. A track can have 5 collaborators, and a pending invite counts toward that.

The other person finds the invite under My account → Collaboration, and can Accept or Decline it. You can Revoke someone from the same Collaborators section. They can Leave from their Collaboration page. Either way, invite them again if they should have access back.

Opening a shared track

In the editor, Load Track lists tracks shared with you under Shared with me. My account → Collaboration also has an Open in editor button for each track you have accepted.

Taking turns

Whoever opens the track holds the edit. If someone else already has it open, you get a message with their name and the track stays closed. Wait until they are done. The owner can Take over instead. Take over lets you in, and the other person can no longer save. Anything they had not saved is lost.

The same thing happens if the track is opened in a second tab, or if the owner takes over while you are in it. A banner at the top says editing has stopped. Cloud save is off from then on. Save Locally still keeps a copy of your work, and a local ZIP export still works. Reload track opens the current cloud version. Unsaved changes in that tab are dropped, so save locally first if you need them.

If you and someone else both had the track open and the other save landed first, your save stops and asks what to do. Reload track takes their version. Overwrite saves yours on top of it.

What you can change

A collaborator works in the editor the same way the owner does, and Save writes to the owner's track. A local ZIP export works too.

A few things stay with the owner: the track name, the description, publishing, deleting the track, and invites. In the export wizard, Upload export to cloud is owner only. The track name field in the editor is read-only while you are a collaborator.

Private assets

On a shared track you can place private Asset Bank items that belong to you, to the owner, or to another collaborator. Editing or deleting an asset is still limited to the person who uploaded it. If someone leaves the track, objects already placed from their assets stay. They just cannot add more of them.
