FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
My road corners look weird
If your road corners look unusual or don't curve smoothly, try adjusting these settings in the Road Properties panel:
- Add more points - Adding more control points along a tight corner will help control the road curve better.
- Use the Curve tool - Select the curve tool, click on a point, then use the mouse scroll wheel to change the curve of that point. This allows you to fine-tune the curvature at specific points along your road.
More often than not, adding more points will fix the issue.
There are holes in my terrain
Sometimes advanced road cutting is off during export, because I'm testing things. You can turn it on yourself in the settings popup before export to make sure it's used during export.
During editing, TreCorsa uses a fast but unreliable terrain cutting system to keep road generation responsive. This can sometimes result in visual holes or gaps in the terrain around roads while you're building your track.
Don't worry - these holes will NOT appear in your exported track! Upon export, a reliable but slower method is used to ensure perfect road-terrain cutting, so your track will look perfect in Assetto Corsa.
If you want to eliminate these visual holes while editing, you can enable the advanced road-terrain cutting system in Settings → Performance → Always use advanced road-terrain cutting. However, this will make road generation much slower, so it's not recommended unless you really need it for precision work.
What is CSP and CM?
CM (Content Manager) is a custom launcher and content management application for Assetto Corsa. It's a powerful tool that enhances your Assetto Corsa experience.
Content Manager has a free Lite version with all key features, and a donation-based version with additional WIP features. You can download it and learn more at https://acstuff.club/app/.
Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) is an extension for Assetto Corsa that expands the game's rendering and engine capabilities. It adds advanced features such as improved lighting, reflections, shadows, post-processing effects, extended shader support, and modern visual effects like dynamic weather and rain (in preview builds). CSP is widely used by mods and significantly enhances the visual fidelity and functionality of Assetto Corsa.
Both tools are highly recommended for the best Assetto Corsa experience, and tracks exported from TreCorsa work perfectly with both Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch!
