Frequently Asked Questions
I can't see the toolbar with all the road tools, wall tools etc
This is most often caused by a conflict with a Chrome extension. Some extensions inject scripts or change the page layout in ways that hide or break TreCorsa’s editor UI.
Try disabling your extensions for this site (or use an incognito window with extensions disabled) and reload the editor. If the toolbar appears, re-enable extensions one at a time to find the culprit.
If it still fails, try reinstalling Chrome or using another browser such as Firefox. TreCorsa works well in Google Chrome; the problem is usually extensions interfering with the page, not Chrome itself.
The toolbars disappear after certain actions
This seems to be the a bug with the tool info popup rather than the toolbars. Open the settings popup and turn off "Show tool info popup".
If the toolbars are still disappearing, the cause is usually a Chrome extension. Try disabling your Chrome extensions, reinstalling Chrome, or switching browsers and it should be fixed. Please let me know if you find a specific conflicting Chrome extension.
Toolbar is out of screen
Use the Reset toolbar position button in the settings popup.
Is this a subscription service for the pro version?
No. TreCorsa Pro is not a subscription. It is a one-time payment of $22.95 while TreCorsa is in early access.
What's this about Google Maps API not being available in Europe?
Since July 2025, Google Maps Platform treats accounts differently when the Google Cloud billing account is tied to an address in the European Economic Area (EEA). For those projects, some Map Tiles API features (including certain satellite tile requests) are restricted or return errors. That is a Google policy change, not something TreCorsa can override. See Google’s overview: Map Tiles API adjustments for EEA customers.
If you are affected, European users can try entering a random existing USA address as their Google Cloud billing address; many people report that this works for satellite image access.
My road corners look weird
If your road corners look unusual or don't curve smoothly, try adjusting these settings in the Road Properties panel:
- Add more points - Adding more control points along a tight corner will help control the road curve better.
- Use the Curve tool - Select the curve tool, click on a point, then use the mouse scroll wheel to change the curve of that point. This allows you to fine-tune the curvature at specific points along your road.
More often than not, adding more points will fix the issue.
My terrain is black
Then there is no mask for the textures. Go into Texture paint mode and make sure there is something painted there and it's not just black.
What is CSP and CM?
CM (Content Manager) is a custom launcher and content management application for Assetto Corsa. It's a powerful tool that enhances your Assetto Corsa experience.
Content Manager has a free Lite version with all key features, and a donation-based version with additional WIP features. You can download it and learn more at https://acstuff.club/app/.
Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) is an extension for Assetto Corsa that expands the game's rendering and engine capabilities. It adds advanced features such as improved lighting, reflections, shadows, post-processing effects, extended shader support, and modern visual effects like dynamic weather and rain (in preview builds). CSP is widely used by mods and significantly enhances the visual fidelity and functionality of Assetto Corsa.
Both tools are highly recommended for the best Assetto Corsa experience, and tracks exported from TreCorsa work perfectly with both Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch!
I get "Failed to fetch kn5" during export
This error usually happens when the export can't upload or retrieve the KN5 data from the server. To resolve it:
- Turn on "Local zip export" in the Export Center. This builds and downloads the ZIP on your device instead of going through the server, which avoids the fetch step that can fail.
- If you're not using local export, try turning off VPN or any proxy - they can limit upload size or cause timeouts.
- Check that your connection is stable and not restricted by firewalls or corporate limits that might block or cap large uploads.
During export I get a "Export token invalid: Token expired" error
The most common cause is that your computer's system clock is wrong. This can happen on dual-boot setups. Fix: sync your system clock in Windows, then try the export again.
