Weather Mods
Assetto Corsa's default weather system is pretty basic. Weather mods like Sol and Pure transform the lighting, sky, and atmosphere to make everything look way more realistic.
Pure
Pure is the newer weather mod that's become very popular. Also developed by Peter Boese, it offers more advanced lighting and atmosphere effects than Sol. Many people prefer it over Sol for the improved visuals, though it requires a newer CSP version. It's actively developed and gets regular updates.
Sol
Sol is the older weather mod, also developed by Peter Boese. It's been around for a while and is very stable. It adds realistic sun positioning, dynamic weather, and better sky rendering. Works with CSP and integrates well with Content Manager. Sol doesn't receive active updates anymore - development has moved to Pure.
Both mods require Custom Shaders Patch to work. You generally pick one or the other - they don't work together.
