Custom Shaders Patch

What CSP Actually Does

Custom Shaders Patch transforms AC's graphics in ways I didn't think were possible for a game this old. Better lighting, rain that actually looks real, improved particles... it's honestly impressive the developer has done with this. Most modern mods require it, and once you see AC with CSP, you can't go back.

The Good Stuff

  • Lighting: Shadows and reflections look way better
  • Rain FX: Actual rain with wet tracks, spray, wipers - it's amazing (preview builds only)
  • Particles: Smoke and dust look much nicer
  • Grass: Better grass rendering that doesn't look like cardboard cutouts
  • Smart Shadows: Better shadows that can actually improve performance
  • Track Enhancements: Many tracks have CSP-specific improvements built in
  • Physics Extensions: Some cars have enhanced physics features

How to Get It

Easiest way is through Content Manager:

  1. Open CM
  2. Settings → Custom Shaders Patch
  3. Click Install or Check for Updates
  4. Pick a version
  5. Done

Manual download available at acstuff.club if you prefer.

Which Version?

  • Recommended: Stable, tested, works reliably
  • Preview: Latest features (including Rain FX), might have bugs

I'd suggest starting with Recommended unless you really want rain or a specific feature. Preview builds can be unstable, and dealing with random issues isn't fun.
